A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be surprisingly easy if you’ve got a Linux cloud package with our company. You can enable this feature through our powerful, yet easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your hosting account. You will find all the mailboxes that you have set up listed alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously let you know if a particular mailbox receives all the messages associated with a certain domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you like. If there is enabled email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you’ll get an alert from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will allow you to configure a catch-all mailbox easily even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
